Unveiled at 2008 NHYD Summer BBQ in Manchester

On Saturday, June 21st the the NH Young Dems gather for the 2008 Summer BBQ in Manchester. The events featured speakers Stephanie Shaheen - daughter of US Senate Candidate and former NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen, Kathleen Shea-Porter - daughter of NH's first Democratic Congresswoman, and NH Senator Lou D'Allesandro of Manchester. Almost 100 people were in attendance including a number of Obama Leadership fellows who had just arrived in the Granite State to work on the NH Obama campaign.

The formation of a new NHYD caucus, the NH Youth Candidate Caucus or NHYCC,  was announced at the BBQ. The NHYCC is composed of NHYD members who are running for State Representative in 2008. The NHYD will promote the candidates as part of their "603 Forward" campaign. "603 FORWARD" is the NHYD's 2008 campaign to elect Young Democrats in NH. After the NH Youth Caucus was introduced Kevin Hodges of the (NH) House Committee to elect Democrats provided a training session on how to run for office for the candidates.
