The
New Hampshire
Young Democrat’s
Blue, Blue
Holiday Party
with
U.S. Senator
Joe Biden
On Saturday, December
16th, special guest Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) joined the New
Hampshire's Young Democrats for eggnog and holiday cheer as they wrapped up a
successful year. Festivities were held at the house of Manchester attorney Kate
Vaughn, an outgoing member of the NHYD Board.
Many
guests brought along donations to Emily's Place, the emergency domestic violence
shelter of the Manchester YWCA Crisis Service to the party.
Sen. Biden is well known for his passion and commitment to ending domestic and
sexual violence. Biden's landmark Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was signed
into law in 1994 and on June 8, 2005, Senator Biden introduced a bill to renew
the Violence Against Women Act that rejuvenates core programs. (http://biden.senate.gov/)
